Тема: Ни как не могу понять что же резвее BMW e36 328i или MB c36 AMG?

Hi all, It has been 5 years since I bought my 2008 BMW 328i with 112,000 miles on it. 2019 was a very quiet year for the car, the only repair was my coolant expansion take cracking which left the car immobile. Thankfully I was able to drive it back to my place a few miles away before the coolant started boiling and all that drama.

Spreadsheet outlining the cost: https://i.imgur.com/kQyy7az.png the posts in yellow are things that broke, so not wear items. The section marked things that broke are not wear or maintenance items, but rather things that I had to fix unexpectedly.

If I buy one of these cars, is there anything catastrophic that will go wrong? Or is it just maintence and the typical valve gasket and oil filter housing? Im looking for manuals but auto is probably what ill get because there is more and cheaper, anything wrong with these transmissions? I appreciate any advice, thanks!

Need some help here. Driving a 2012 328 xDrive this morning and I got the tri fecta AWD, DSC AND ABS warning light. Came on during a thunder storm.Scanned for codes got Fault 581A signal fault from left DSC. I am in the middle of a long trip and would like to replace the left wheel speed sensor when I get home. It s an easy fix that BMW will hose me on the road. Can I continue without the fear of going into limp mode?

I’m shopping around for another car and I like the 328i a lot, the 2015 XDrive model to be specific. I’ve heard a lot about BMWs being unreliable cars and not worth buying because they break easy and are expensive to fix. Also all the models that I am looking at have between 100000 and 120000 miles on them already. Is that too many miles to consider buying a used BMW? I wanted some more opinions before I make any decisions to proceed on anything. Can anybody give me some guidance?

I have a 2012 328i (F30). I recently got the check engine light and bought a carly adapter to look at the fault codes. These are the two that I am getting: 138A11 i.e. Exhaust flap, plausibility: implausible adjustment time AND 1D2404 i.e. Map-controlled thermostat, control: Line disconnected.

Has anyone worked with these error codes before or knows how to do the repair for them. I can take it to a mechanic but if it is something that I can do by myself then that would be a better option for me. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I currently own a 320d e90 163hp, which has suited my needs so far and was a fun little car to own.
As it was my entrance into BMW world, I wish to upgrade it soon and I am thinking about purchasing F30 328i (most likely automatic). Most likely 2013/2014 (so N20 engine) and RWD.

Would like to know your thoughts on it, how reliable is it, is there anything I should change as soon as I get it, what to look out for etc.

My friend is about to join the bmw world from a Kia Soul And I wanna give them some info about any common problems or gremlins on this model.

Ive been car hunting for weeks and came across a BMW 328i for $5.5k with 93k miles on it. I was wondering if it’s a good first car. According to the seller, the car is in excellent condition and the engine/tranny is working 100%. Are they reliable and how expensive is maintenance ? I know if you treat the car right and keep up with maintenance the car shouldn’t give you a hard time
