Тема: P00BD. EGR cooler? - Avensis Club - Toyota Forum

T25 Toyota Avensis Tailgate Handle Broken. By avensisd4d786, October 31, 2014. 14 replies.

Hi everyone, I have an Avensis 150D 2015 with the BMW engine. I started this weekend to try to find a leak in the admision pipes as I got an engine fault Code P00BD (too much air mass). I also have a P1443 DPF Code but this come and go so I decided to focus in the other one first. I also have too much oil burn (Isn''t It the best engine.)

As I coudnt find any Ieak I thought maybe the EGR is blocked and this os causing too much air in the MAF sensor. So I took out the EGR and EGR cooler and it seem quite bloked therefore I Will send It to ultrasonic cleaning this week. Planning to do the same with the DPF later.

Anyone could help to identify what can it be please? It is on 2015 new shape toyota avensis 2,0 diesel engine car done 106k motorway miles and recently went in to limp mode few times.

Once plug in techstream for fault code above and live data shows exhaust temperature sensor B1S3 -40.0C?? and DPF Differential pressure -326.88 kpa??

T27 2.0d4d 160000mls, my ex taxi is now being used by my daughter, she drives short distances 3 - 5 miles at a time with the occasional 30+mile trip.

all warning lights are on with the fault code P244B,according to techstream the fault is dpf differential pressure too high.

Hello im interested in buying toyota avensis with petrol engine , year 03-06 , but many people are saying that there is problems with oil consuption , so wich petrol engine is the  best with less problems ?

The 2.0vvti didn''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''t have the oil problem.  The 1.8vvti did have until the facelift in 2006.  Plenty don''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''t have the problem, but personally I''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''d get one 2006 or newer.

When driving the car goes into "secure mode" and I cant get over 2000 RPM (which can be bad when you are on the highway). The error code i get is P0191. So far I have changed the fuel pump (because I thought it might be the filter that is clogged up). There is very little information to get about these models, and yes I have been reading threads here regarding the same problem (if there are any problems with my Volvo there so much guides and info, but that might be because I am Swedish).

P0191 indicates an unexpected signal from the fuel rail pressure sensor.  This is a sensor which is installed in the fuel rail on the engine.

if the car is worth so little to you, scrap it, the handbrake is a complete unit used they go for £300 or £800+ new you need the correct one for your car as well, the only thing you can do is inspect the cable ends and that the calliper is working how it should if the pads and discs are worn badly the handbrake will not apply - lack of maintenance

My avensis had the engine warning light come on three days ago as well as the parking brake fault. Noticed straight away that I had lost a lot of power when accelerating. Now feels like I''''''''m driving a 1l corsa or something similar.

Brought it to the local Toyota garage and they have diagnosed a "faulty EDU drive" and said it will be upwards of a thousand euro for the part and labour.

D4D. I think. The car went into limp mode. I put an OBD on the car. The fault came up as the DPF being faulty. So I assumed it has one

Hmmm, can''''t remember. It said dpf fault. Sorry to be so vague. The car is not with me at the moment, perhaps I should have waited and not started this thread yet! But post more on Friday.

That smell can linger for weeks.  Had a similar issue in the Lake District (junction on a 13% hill) but there is no indication that the clutch is U/S.

Find a nice hill, get into 5th or 6th and floor the accelerator to see if you can provoke the clutch to slip (revs going up but speed not changing).  You may have done the clutch some good, they can glaze over and be prone to slipping under load.

so i went into dealer to get a diagnose, then an hour or so later 1 one them come out and gave me a shock, they quoted me £4638 to get abs ecu and wiring replaced..
